The black ace and king score too

The ace of spades costs seven and the king of spades ten, alongside the queen's thirteen. That takes the worst possible hand from twenty-six points to forty-three, and it means the queen is no longer the only spade anyone is frightened of — holding the ace or king stops being safe and starts being a problem you have to solve.
