Crowning does not end the turn

A piece that reaches the back row in the middle of a multiple jump is crowned immediately and carries on jumping as a king, backwards included. Under American rules the move simply stops the moment you crown, so a jump that would have continued is thrown away — and the difference decides games, because the same move is either one capture or four.
