Say so before picking the dice up, and it is gone for the rest of the game whether it helps or not. The printed game gives three rolls and nothing else, so a single stored reroll is the smallest possible dent in that and it lands where a turn has gone badly wrong rather than where someone is already ahead.

When a second Yahtzee sends you to the Joker rules, score it in ANY open box you like rather than following the printed order. The one restriction stays: a Yahtzee may only be taken as a Full House or a straight once its matching Upper Section box is already filled. Officially the order is forced — the matching upper box first, then a lower box, and a zero upstairs if both are gone — which can oblige you to bin a Yahtzee in a box you were saving.
