After the initial ticket deal, each player may discard their starting tickets once and draw a fresh set, which they must then keep to the usual minimum. Softens an opening hand of three impossible routes.

Uncompleted destination tickets cost half their value, rounded up, instead of the full amount. Encourages ambitious ticket draws late in the game.
Keep three destination tickets face up beside the deck. A player drawing tickets may take from the face-up market or the deck, refilling the market afterwards. Reduces the swinginess of a blind ticket draw.
